What if
we become
everything

What If We Become Everything began as an adventure into the unknown, a step outside the comfort zone. Bibi and Onno created a space where they could allow themselves to be vulnerable, in search of the deeper meaning of creativity, intuition and the joy of play.

To support this process, Bibi and Onno created a series of analog nude self-portraits using a self-timer. A ‘photo game’ in which they had to repeatedly try to make contact with each other’s bodies in 10 seconds. They expanded this spontaneous approach by expressing themselves in text and image on three rolls of paper, each 10 meters long.

In a world increasingly driven by  expectations and achievements, this project offers a counterbalance by highlighting the value of freedom, playfulness, and vulnerability in personal growth and connection. It invites us to embrace the inner journey, recognizing that the path may ultimately hold more value than the end result.

We are currently working on an exhibition of this project. Want to stay updated?

About us

Bibi-Joan is an artist from Amsterdam that is driven by a deep curiosity about how societal norms and power dynamics shape our relationships and self-awareness. Approaching her art with a feminist lens, she challenges deeply rooted structures and explores themes of identity, gender roles and the dynamics of vulnerability. Combining analog photography, video, and text, Bibi-Joan infuses her work with playfulness and freedom. More about Bibi-Joan.

Onno Peerlings is an autodidact fascinated by creative energy and the connection that every living being has with the universe, whether they are aware of it or not. As a poet, he explores how creativity brings us closer to our inner being and how words can help us open up our minds and ourselves for a deeper sense of connection. He is mostly driven by – sometimes unbridled – curiosity, always looking for new ways to connect with everything.
